Hey guys, this is the theme song for the 2012 Festival of Pacific Arts which was held in Honiara from July 1st - 14th. Dedicated to all those who participated in the Festival.

Solomon Islands popular band Door Mans Project (DMP) have left the country on the 21st of August for Noumea, New Caledonia. The group will be performing two live shows at Yengen and Noumea and will be there for two weeks.
The tour is sponsored by the Mangroves Studio manager Alain Lecante. Speaking prior to their departure, team leader Ronnie Paeva said the group will be performing live backed up by Apprentice band. "It is going to be an exciting show," Paeva said.
DMP, which was awarded for the best Pacific Album of the Year by New Caledonia and awarded the Song of the Year, Group of the Year and Peoples Choice in the Solo Music Award last year, will no doubt will give their fans in New Caledonia their best.
Lead vocalist Kairi said their tour will be different and more exciting from the first tour they made last year. "We are going to rock the stage with our unique songs with a live," he said.
A total of 10 band members are on the tour. So all DMP fans in New Caledonia, if you miss out on the first tour last year then this is your chance to see them live.

Highly reggae influenced, ‘Small Jams’ is the big name in local reggae music to date.
With musical backgrounds from two of the most popular local groups in the Solomons’ Small Jams comprises of the duo Junior Q, a member of the Onetox band, and Mostyn H, a member of DMP.

Despite their busy schedule with their bands going on tour and performing around town, the two found time to write and compose songs together.
A couple of songs later, the duo decided to name their group. Being part of two of the most popular bands, proved challenging when it comes to finding a new name.
“The name ‘Small’ came to mind as we’re a new group and there are only two of us,” Junior explained.

“We were listening to our songs and jamming to the beat, when the word ‘Jams’ popped up. We then decided on the name ‘Small Jams’,” Junior said.
Small Jams is building up its fan base fast, as they’ve already released two singles already, and they’re on the verge of completing their first ever debut album.
“We’ve released two singles already, ‘December’ and ‘Reggae Party’ and we’re planning on working with Mangrove studios in New Caledonia,” Junior said.
“It’s been exciting working on the new album, which is still in progress, and we really appreciate the work done by the engineers at Shefram studios and also those who have helped us one way or another, and a big thank you to all the fans as well.”
